Around the Crown 10K

Around the Crown 10K is our next race as a team, and it’s one of the most iconic runs in Charlotte. Once a year, the city closes down the I-277 inner loop — the “crown” that wraps Uptown — and lets runners take over the highway for a fast, flat 10K through the heart of the city.

The race starts and finishes at Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights, right in Uptown. At 6.2 miles it’s a great next step whether you’re moving up from a 5K or chasing a 10K personal best, and the closed-highway course means wide-open lanes and skyline views the whole way.

What to expect

• Distance: 10K (6.2 miles) on Charlotte’s I-277 loop
• When: Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 7:30 AM
• Where: Start and finish at Truist Field, Uptown Charlotte
• After the race: A finish festival with medals and refreshments, plus the official after-party at NoDa Brewing
